Program & House Rules

Structure that sets you free.

Recovery thrives in a predictable, accountable environment. Here's what life at New Beginnings looks like — and what we ask of every resident.

Why structure matters in early recovery

Early recovery is one of the most vulnerable times in a person's life. The brain is healing, habits are forming, and the temptation to fall back into old patterns is real. Structure isn't about control — it's about giving you the framework to build a new life, one day at a time.

At New Beginnings, our program is designed to support your recovery without making you feel like you're in a facility. We're a home first — and a program second.

Daily Structure

A typical day at New Beginnings

Work, school, or outpatient

Residents are expected to be engaged in employment, education, or an outpatient program during daytime hours.

Weekly house meetings every Monday evening. Attendance is mandatory for all residents.

11:00 PM

Curfew

All residents must be home by 11:00 PM Sunday through Thursday. Weekend curfew is 12:00 AM.

Resident Requirements

What we ask of every resident

Sobriety

Zero tolerance for alcohol or drug use on the premises or while representing the house. Random drug testing is conducted regularly.

Active recovery participation

Residents must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings per week and maintain a sponsor or recovery support contact.

Employment or program enrollment

All residents must be actively working, attending school, or enrolled in an outpatient treatment program within 30 days of move-in.

Financial responsibility

Rent is due on the 1st of each month. We work with residents on payment plans when needed — communication is key.

Respect for the house and community

Residents are expected to maintain their living space, contribute to shared chores, and treat fellow residents and staff with respect.

No overnight guests

Overnight guests are not permitted. Day visitors must be approved by house management and may not be present after 9:00 PM.

House Rules

Clear expectations for everyone

These rules exist to protect the safety and sobriety of every resident. Violations are addressed through a progressive process — we believe in second chances.

Respect curfew — notify staff if you will be late
Complete your assigned chores each week
No smoking inside the house
